BAKER CITY — Miners Jubilee traditionally marks the middle of summer in Baker City, and this year the three-day celebration returns July 16-18 after a one-year hiatus.

The Jubilee tradition of breakfast in the park served by the Baker City Lions Club is happening Saturday and Sunday from 7-11 a.m. Cost is $10 adults, $8 children.
The traditional Jubilee parade begins at 11 a.m. Saturday and floats wind through downtown. This year’s theme is “Friends in Gold Places.”
The Lions Club also hosts a horseshoe tournament on Saturday at 2 p.m. The single-elimination play has categories for men, women and co-ed teams of two. Entry is $5 per person. Cash prizes are awarded to the top teams. For information, or to register in advance, call Gregg Hinrichsen State Farm at 541-523-7778.
