La Grande heavy metal band takes HQ stage
LA GRANDE — Saturday, Aug. 21, La Grande heavy metal band Nogero will bring original songs and some fan-favorite covers to HQ, 112 Depot St. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the music begins at 8 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door.
Final Riverside Park concert is Aug. 19
LA GRANDE — The last performance of this summer’s Riverside Concert Series will feature KC Kunkle and Madeline Ford on Thursday, Aug. 19. The free music begins at 6 p.m. at the pavilion.

Courthouse Concert Series continues
ENTERPRISE — The Courthouse Concert Series presents free concerts on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. on the lawn of the Wallowa County Courthouse. The final three performances of this summer will be Sons of Guns on Aug. 19, The Wasteland Kings on Aug. 26, and Sam Weber and Joey Carpenter on Sept. 2.
First EO Country Music Festival comes to Union
UNION — The inaugural Eastern Oregon Country Music Festival is set for Friday, Aug. 20, at the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show Grounds. The music starts at 5 p.m., featuring Cale Moon of Enterprise, Wade Aylett of Irrigon, and Nashville’s Johno Clayton and Randy Woody and the Southbound Band. General admission is $35.
Laura Skovlin and friends entertain on the deck
WALLOWA LAKE VILLAGE — Local musicians Laura Skovlin, Pat Cason and George Boesger will entertain as GPL/Starry Night on Friday, Aug. 20, from 5-7 p.m. on the deck at Wallowa Lake Lodge. The trio will deliver soothing vocal harmonies and a unique mix of fingerstyle guitar, octave mandolin and clawhammer banjo.
Joining Skovlin again Aug. 27 at 5 p.m. on the deck will be Cason along with Genavie Thomas. Calling themselves The Kitchenettes, they will bring toe-tapping, hand-clapping, upbeat Appalachian-style string band and traditional mountain music.

Wheatstock Music Festival is for all ages
HELIX — The 13th-annual Wheatstock Music Festival offers live music, free camping, food vendors, a beer garden and bouncy castles for the kids. Randy Rogers Band will headline the Saturday, Aug. 21, event at Quantum 9 Arena in Helix. The music goes from 2:30-11 p.m., also featuring Tylor and the Trainrobbers, Wanderlost, Norman Baker and the Backroads, Great American Trainwreck and Hillfolk Noir. General admission is $40.
Aug. 21 is Stockgrowers meeting, rodeo and dinner
ENTERPRISE — The Wallowa County Stockgrowers celebrate the Western ranching lifestyle Saturday, Aug. 21, at the Wallowa County Fairgrounds with the annual meeting at 7 a.m. at Cloverleaf Hall and a ranch rodeo at 11 a.m. A social hour, dinner and awards begin at 6:30 p.m.

WALLOWA LAKE VILLAGE — Seth Kinzie and Bart Budwig will present a unique evening of music at the Wallowa Lake Lodge on Tuesday, Aug. 24, beginning at 7 p.m. Kinzie is a modern, impressionist piano composer from Joseph, and Bart Budwig is a local singer-songwriter of psychedelic Americana.
