JOSEPH — Jingle Thru Joseph will soon be underway. Unique shopping opportunities, a lighting contest and a parade are highlights of the annual event, which kicks off the holiday season in Joseph.

Bazaar

The Jingle Thru Joseph Holiday Bazaar celebrates the holiday shopping season with more than 40 vendors selling their unique gifts at the Joseph Community Center, 201 E. Second St., during the next two weekends.

Organizer Susie Madigan said she has booths reserved for a vast array of gifts — many that are handmade — including pottery, oil paintings, tooled leather, fudge and candy, soap, Christmas tree ornaments and decorations, leather goods, woodwork, antler-handled bottle openers and tools, jewelry, cards, photographs, lip balm, jams and jellies.

A variety of cosmetics also will be for sale, as well as candles, leggings, bags and purses, hats, T-shirts, antiques and collectibles, including vintage toys and kitchen items.

The Wallowa County Humane Society booth will have a silent auction and the Wallowa County Quilt Guild is hosting a quilt raffle.

Admission is free and masks are required.

The Jingle Thru Joseph Holiday Bazaar will be open Nov. 26-27 and Dec. 3-4. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on both Fridays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on both Saturdays.

Lighting contest and parade this weekend

The Joseph Main Street businesses will compete in a lighting contest on Friday, Nov. 26, to complement the Christmas Light Parade that begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov 27. Enjoy the holiday music, food and open houses at downtown businesses — and keep your eye out for Santa.
