- Bikers roar onto the tarmac at Eastern Oregon Regional Airport as part of the 2019 Pendleton Bike Week. Now known as The Pendleton Run, the 2022 event is July 14-17.
PENDLETON — With new management, a new venue and a new name, the Pendleton Bike Week is back after a two-year hiatus — mostly.

Now called “The Pendleton Run,” the motorcycle event is coming to the Pendleton Round-Up Grounds and Happy Canyon Arena July 14-17.
“We didn’t really want to call it ‘Bike Week’ because that’s traditionally five or six days,” said promoter Bob Richards. “It’s a new owner, new management. It’s completely family friendly, so the new name made sense.”
This year is the first operational year for The Pendleton Run under the direction of Hermiston’s Stuart Rice, who took over Pendleton Bike Week two years ago but had to cancel the event because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Pendleton Run begins with a kickoff party from 5-10 p.m. Thursday night at Roy Raley Park, followed by two full days of events on Friday and Saturday and a Sunday morning send-off.
Two motorcycle rides — the Rattlesnake 400 and the Til Taylor Charity Poker Run — begin at 9 a.m. Friday and include a full day of activities and events at the Round-Up Grounds. Admission to the Vendor Midway is free and open to the public, a change from the previous Pendleton Bike Week.
“The Midway is free, and it’s open to the public. That’s something we really want people to know,” Richards said. “Anybody can come see the bike show, see the bike games, the food vendors and the industry vendors. That’s all open to the public.”
The Vendor Midway opens at 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and includes bike games, Show-n-Shine and music from noon to 3 p.m. both days.
Friday ends with a concert from classic rock group Blue Öyster Cult at 7 p.m. and the Pendleton Run Let’er Buck After Party at 10 p.m.
The Rattlesnake 400 and the Til Taylor Charity Poker Run return at 9 a.m. Saturday along with the “eXplore the Blues Ride.” The evening event on Saturday is the Summer Chute Out III flat track racing, including an FMX stunt show and live music from The Wasteland Kings. The Pendleton Run Let’er Buck After Party will again open at 10 p.m. on Saturday.
The final event — a “Hair of the Dog” send-off — is 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday.
Event tickets range from $6 for student admission to the Summer Chute Out III Flat Track Race ($20 general admission) to $125 for the VIP Pass that includes event tickets, ride entries and camping.
