BOARDMAN — The Morrow County Harvest Festival is back again for 2022.

The free annual event celebrates the start of fall and the end of the harvest season. SAGE Center Assistant Manager Breena Beck said 2022 will be the 9th annual event.

“We’re so excited to celebrate the end of the growing season, the harvest, and have an event that brings people together,” she said. “It’s a lot of fun and a free event to come to with the family.”

The 2022 Morrow County Harvest Festival is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at the SAGE Center, 101 Olson Road in Boardman.

This year’s event features wagon rides, produce giveaways, and more than 40 food and artisan craft vendors as well as activities for children.

The Kids Corner will feature pumpkin painting, face painting, games and a bounce house. Local FFA chapters will also participate in the Kids Corner with a petting zoo and the “Ag Olympics.”

The event will also feature “pumpkin golf” this year.

“We have golf balls and putters for the kids, and we’ll have a mini golf course set up,” Beck said. “The hole, instead of being in the ground, they’re to get it into the pumpkin.”

Live music will feature Leah Justine from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Dallin Puzey from 1-4 p.m.

The entire event will take place outside. More information is available on the event page on Facebook, the SAGE Center Facebook page or at visitsage.com.

“We just hope that people will come out and enjoy the day with us. That’s what we’re here to do,” Beck said. “We’re just glad to offer this free family event year after year.”
