Celebrate fall at the Frazier Farmstead

- Enjoy a variety of activites at Frazier Farmstead Museum on Saturday, Oct. 8.
MILTON-FREEWATER — This year the Frazier Farmstead Museum will be combining their annual Family Fall Festival with the centennial celebration of McLoughlin Union High School.
The free festival will take place Saturday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
To kick off the festival and centennial celebration, McLoughlin Union High alumni will gather for a group photo taken on the farm at 10 a.m. At this time the Stay A-round Donuts and Fry Pies food truck will be on site for breakfast.
The general public will be allowed free entry to the festival at 11 a.m. Fun festival activities will include crafts for kids, hourly story time in the tipi, tours of the museum house and interaction with the farm animals.
There will be a variety of vendors and food trucks on the farm. Kids 12 and under can enjoy free hot dogs and people of all ages get to try the delicious free fresh pressed apple cider.
As for the centennial celebration, entertainment will be provided by alumni each hour, a photo gallery that reflects on McLoughlin High’s 100-year history will be displayed in the barn, and children’s prize games will be ran by the McLoughlin High’s Key Club.
Some off-site activities that will be happening for alumni to partake in are a tour of McLoughlin High from 1-3 p.m., FFA Turkey Dinner Fundraiser at Gib-Olinger Elementary School from 4:30-6:30 p.m., and the Toast to Talent Awards and reception at McLoughlin High’s Jack Williams Auditorium at 7 p.m.
