JOSEPH — It’s a small, small world of artwork that is opening at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture when the “Little Works” exhibit begins Saturday, Nov. 19, at noon.
Each piece of artwork on display is no larger than 10 inches in any one direction. Also, each piece is for sale at under $200.
Proceeds from the sale of the art benefit the Josephy Center’s Youth Art Program, which includes scholarships to the Missoula Children’s Theater, the Youth Art Festival, classes and more.
The exhibit concludes Friday, Dec. 16.
A special feature of the exhibit is that patrons can take their art with them at the time of purchase, and artists are encouraged to replace their art pieces as they are sold so return visits are encouraged.
There will also be two special shopping days during the exhibit’s run. On Saturday, Nov. 19 and Saturday, Dec. 10, refreshments will be served and there will be children’s activities along with special sales on books and art supplies.
All proceeds from these sales also support youth art programming.
There are a wide variety of art forms represented including paintings from Lorna Barth (Dayton, Washington) and Mark Kortnik (Joseph), drawing by Tim Biedron (Joseph), sculpture by Tom Clement (Baker City), fiber, jewelry, mixed media works by Nancy Coffelt (Baker City) and more.
