Learn a new game — or join a familiar one — at Hobby Habit in La Grande this January.

La Grande — This winter season join in the fun and find a sense of community with other gamers at Hobby Habit , 411 Fir St.

With new gaming events taking place each month, Hobby Habit opens up the opportunity to explore new games or enjoy old favorites in a fun social environment. Whether you are new to gaming or a long-time gamer, there is something for everyone at Hobby Habit.

This January Hobby Habit has three weekly events that are sure to brighten up your month with fun.

Magic: The Gathering, Commander League

This weekly event is a great opportunity for commander players to have fun and win prizes. For a fee of $5, players receive one standard booster pack and one raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets are earned by winning a game. All raffle tickets will be entered in a drawing at the end of night. Non-winning tickets will automatically be entered into a larger drawing at the end of the month.

In the month of January this event will be held Jan. 7, 14, 21, and 28 from 5-9 p.m. This is an open league that encourages any players to join in at any time.

Fight Night

Starting Jan. 8, the weekly fight night will take place every Saturday night from 5-10 p.m. Enjoy this miniature game with others in the fun spirit of competition.

Dungeons and Dragons, Adventurer League

Whether you are new to this classic game or a seasoned player, all are welcome to grab an available table and embark on their epic quest. The tiers of play will be broken up by character levels with each table having different challenges. Players can use characters from active campaigns, attend as someone from the Forgotten Realms, or start as an entirely new character. This open event will take place on Jan. 7 from 6-9 p.m.
