Wednesdays in the Park cranks up in July

PENDLETON — Music, food vendors and a wine/beer garden are featured as Wednesdays in the Park tunes up for its eighth season.
The free event kicks off Wednesday, July 5, 6-8 p.m. at Roy Raley Park, 1205 S.W. Court Ave. It continues each Wednesday in July. Opening the 2023 season is Will West & The Friendly Strangers.
After growing up in rural North Carolina, West packed his bags and headed to Portland in 2002. West and the Strangers groove with a signature blend of modern folk, bluegrass and pop.
The rest of the lineup — July 12: The Ballroom Thieves, an indie-folk duo from Boston; July 19: Nick Delffs, a singer-songwriter from Boise; and July 26: Bon Bon Vivant, offering electric Americana from New Orleans.
