Bazaar season continues

This weekend is a busy one across Eastern Oregon. Here’s a round up of the bazaars to check out. (We’ll have more bazaars in the Dec. 5 issue of Go!)

Baker City
The Baker County Extension Office’s 4-H Christmas bazaar is Dec. 1-2 at 2600 East St. Friday hours are noon to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Vendors will offer a variety of handcrafted and homemade items created by artists, crafters, cooks and more. All proceeds from the rental of tables support 4-H college scholarships. Also, get photos with Santa on Saturday in the Event Center with the Kiwanis Club.
John Day
The Blue Mountain Hospital Auxiliary’s Christmas bazaar is Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grant County Fairgrounds pavilion. This bazaar has been a tradition for nearly 35 years, and shoppers will find about 60 vendors. Also, the kitchen will be open to buy breakfast, lunch and slices of Dayville Cafe pies, and the auxiliary will have a raffle for items donated from the vendors. Proceeds from the bazaar (table fees, kitchen sales and the raffle) will be used by the auxiliary to support needs of the hospital district.

Irrigon
The Irrigon Holiday Craft Bazaar is Sunday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Irrigon Plaza Event Center, 500 NE Main Ave. Cookie decorating with Santa Claus runs from 2-4 p.m. For information about vendor space, call the Irrigon Chamber of Commerce at 541-626-2045.
Lexington
The Holly Rebekah Lodge is hosting its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 2, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the lodge, 135 E. Main St. In addition to vendor booths, shoppers can enjoy cinnamon rolls, cookies and a variety of hot soups.
Athena
The Athena Main Street Connection is hosting the annual Athena Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 2, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Historic Stahl Building, 259 E. Main St. It features everything from stocking stuffers to “big ticket” items on your holiday list.
Echo
The Echo Community Church’s annual Christmas Bazaar is Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church’s basement, 21 N. Bonanza St. It features lots of homemade items and goodies. For questions, call 541-376-8108. Also on Dec. 2, Wild Bleu Yonder presents the fifth annual Echo Christmas Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Main Street.
Hermiston
Back for a second year, the Hermiston Christian School’s Christmas Market is Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1825 W. Highland Ave. Admission is free, however, donations are accepted for the school. Nearly three dozen local artisans and vendors will offer an array of handcrafted goods, home decor, gifts, baked goods and more. In addition, HCS students will be selling fresh Christmas wreaths and garlands.
Milton-Freewater
A Christmas Magic Market is set for Friday, Dec. 1, to coincide with Milton-Freewater’s Christmas Magic Parade. In addition, some businesses will host a vendor on Dec. 2, as well. Vendors can get a spot for $25 — find details at mfcda.org/vendxmas/.
Pendleton
- Dec. 2: The annual Bells of Peace Cookie and Craft Bazaar is Saturday, Dec. 2 , 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 210 NW Ninth St. Money raised will help send youths to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America Youth Gathering to be held July 2024 in New Orleans.
- Dec. 2: A holiday bazaar and raffle hosted by the Oregon Retired Educators Association is set for Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Heritage Station Museum, 108 SW Frazer Ave. Entry is free. The event features food and craft items for sale and assorted raffle baskets and items (need not be present to win).
- All proceeds benefit the OREA scholarship fund for grants to Pendleton classroom teachers.
Stanfield
The Kids Kraft Bazaar is Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Stanfield Community Center, 225 Roosevelt Ave. Vendors are limited to ages 18 and under. To reserve vendor space, make a donation — such as new gloves, a craft kit, holiday books — to the Stanfield Moose Lodge’s Giving Tree & Gift Baskets. To reserve a spot, stop by the Stanfield Public Library, 180 W. Coe Ave., or call 541-449-1254.
- Dec. 2: Stanfield Baptist Church is hosting its second annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 310 NW Wheeler Ave. More than 15 vendors will offer handmade items, decor and baked goods.
Island City
The La Grande Philly Group will host a holiday bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 2, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Next Gen building at Faith Center. Vendors are welcome — to register, call Misty Golden, 541-805-9347.
La Grande
The La Grande Church of the Nazarene, 109 18th St., will be hosting a Christmas Market on Dec. 2, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free. Vendor booths can be rented in advance beginning at $25. Union
Catherine Creek Community Center’s Winter Wonderland Bazaar is Saturday, Dec. 2, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Offerings include artists, crafts, concessions, gifts, goods, music and more. The center is at 667 Main St. For information about being a vendor, email CCCCenter667@gmail.com.
Enterprise
A Wallowa County Christmas bazaar and craft show is happening Dec. 1-2 at Cloverleaf Hall in Enterprise. Offerings include food, woodcrafts, jewelry, paper goods, antiques and more. Friday is 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday is 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Also, the VFW holiday bazaar is Dec. 1, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the VFW hall, 800 N. River St. Santa will visit from noon-2 p.m.
Joseph
The Jingle thru Joseph holiday bazaar happens Dec. 1-2, at the Joseph Community Center, 102 E. Second St. More than 40 local artisans, crafters and small businesses will be on site from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event also features a Humane Society auction and “Santa Paws” photos. Wallowa
The Wallowa Senior Center, 204 E. Second St., will have a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be complimentary cookies and coffee. Soup, corn muffins and pie will be available for purchase. Those wanting a vendor table can call Karolyne Doss, 541-398-0721.
