Local bazaars offer a variety of handcrafted goods, from wood to pottery to art and so much more.

The season of bazaar shopping is wrapping up, but here are some places to grab those last-minute gifts.

BAKER COUNTY

Baker City

The Last Chance Bazaar is happening Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Nazarene Church Family Life Center, 1250 Hughes Lane, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sumpter

Sumpter will host a city-wide bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 9, along the main street. And stick around for the light parade at 5 p.m., followed by the tree lighting.

GRANT COUNTY

Dayville

Dayville is providing a stop for last-minute shoppers with a bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 16, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dayville Community Hall on Highway 26. A full complement of local vendors will be selling a variety of handcrafted goods, from wood carvings to jewelry to clothing and more. Food will be available for purchase.

John Day

The Grant County Farmers Market Winterfest holiday bazaar is happening Dec. 8 and Dec. 9 at the Grant County Fairgrounds, 411 SW Bridge St. Hours are 3-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. This showcase is open for vendors — $15 for an eight-foot table, or $30 for one measuring 10 feet square. For information, send an email to grantcofarmersmarket@gmail.com or call 541-620-3152. Proceeds from table rentals will support the farmers market.

Monument

The Monument Senior Center’s annual winter bazaar is Saturday, Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A variety of vendors will be onsite, and everyone is encouraged to wear an ugly holiday sweater for the chance to win a prize.

A special raffle features a chance to win a Christmas Collection. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The winner doesn’t need to be present during the drawing. The senior center will be selling maple bars, and the EMTs will serve chili and cornbread.

Prairie City

J&A Rustic’s Christmas Market is Saturday, Dec. 16, in the Juniper Room at Hotel Prairie, 112 Front St., from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For information, find J&A Rustic on Instagram and Facebook.

Boardman

The Parent Teacher Organization of Sam Boardman Elementary School is hosting its inaugural Holiday Market on Saturday, Dec. 9, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the school, 301 SW Wilson Lane.

The Elgin Stampede bazaar is happening Saturday, Dec. 9, from noon to 8 p.m. at 71112 Highway 82. Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available from 5-8 p.m. for $5. And don’t miss the light parade at 6 p.m.

Also, the bazaar includes a toy drive, and visitors are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to donate. Monetary donations are also accepted.

The Kris Kringle bazaar is open just for children, with all items are $5 or less, on Saturday, Dec. 9, 9 a.m.-noon, Elgin Community Center. Free gift wrapping is also available.

La Grande

The fourth annual Holiday Bazaar and Party with 100% local and 100% handmade items at HQ, 112 Depot St. The bazaar is Saturday, Dec. 9, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free admission. Later, the party continues from 7-9:30 p.m. with the Brent Smith and Friends Christmas Singalong. Admission is $5.

Cove

The Cove Booster Club’s holiday bazaar is set for Saturday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the little gym.

Enterprise

A “Well Winter Market” is happening Saturday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Heartbeat Wellness Center, 206 NE First St. This market will feature local artists, crafts, food and herbal medicine vendors.
