Celebrate the holidays with song

JOSEPH — The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance is celebrating the holiday season with a special concert on Sunday, Dec. 17, at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture, 403 N. Main St.

Doors open at 1:30 p.m., and the music starts at 2 p.m. Admission is by a suggested donation of $10, with proceeds benefiting both the WVMA and the Josephy Center.

Holiday treats will be served.

The show

This year’s roster of performers includes The Burns Family, Janis Carper, Amy Fairchild & Family, Carolyn Lochert, Ted Hays, Laura Skovlin, Terri Hall, and Heidi Muller and Bob Webb.

“The Music Alliance and Josephy Center have been frequent partners in pairing music with visual art to bring an even richer experience to their patrons,” said Janis Carper, WVMA executive director. “These two leading arts nonprofits appreciate this opportunity to express thanks to the community for the support of their programs year-round.”

Carper said the music alliance and art center partner on multiple projects throughout the year, including the Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts, “Women, Words and Music,” youth holiday musicals and “other events where the pairing of music with visual arts enhances the project.”
