BAKER CITY — Churchill School will welcome Jeshua Marshall back to the stage on Friday, March 8, and the evening opens with Andy Crosby who will play in Baker City for the first time.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance at eventbrite.com or $20 at the door.
Marshall
Marshall is no stranger to Baker City — he was born here, and lived here off and on throughout his childhood.
His first show at Churchill was in 2022. He’ll return this month with his five-piece Jeshua Marshall and the Flood. Marshall, on guitar and vocals, will be joined by Miguel Mendoza on trumpet, Wendi Wampler on clarinet, Jamin Marshall on drums and Davey Hemm on bass.
Marshall has played guitar since his youth, sang in his church choir and played trumpet for a band in Redmond.
He switched to the electric bass when he was 12, and by 16 he was in a band — Larry and his Flask — with his older brother, Jamin. They toured from 2004 to 2019, and then Marshall went solo in early 2020.
And, when venues closed to performances during the pandemic, Marshall worked on his album, which he released in September 2021. His second album, “The Flood,” is available now on vinyl and streaming services.
“Music has always been my passion,” he said. “It’s been a life of music.”

Crosby
Crosby grew up in Donnelly, Idaho. Although he was more interested in snowboarding, he said he’s “always been a big music fan.” And when his brother, Jeff Crosby, needed a bass player for a tour, Andy said yes.
That was about 10 years ago.
“We toured all over the country, year-round,” he said.
Then the pandemic hit, and Andy had a chance to step back and pursue his dream of a solo career.
“I’d always wanted to do my own thing,” he said.
He has his first solo show in May 2021 and has been playing around Idaho for the last two years. Now he’s heading out on his first solo West Coast tour.
He’s released a single and a music video, and he’s just about finished with an album. He recorded it in Austin, Texas, and worked with Jonathan Tyler.
After this current tour, Crosby heads south in May to play in Arizona and New Mexico, then he’ll return to play more local shows.
