Churchill Hall Pass Gallery

“I create painted images, exploring what fascinates me from personal experience,” she said.

“Working on site and from life whenever possible, I celebrate natural and man-made forms and patterns. Though my work varies, a central theme is celebrating the preciousness of our world.”

Her show at Churchill explores landscapes, waterscapes and elements from her travels through Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Grand Canyon and Mexico.

Crossroads Carnegie Art Center

2020 Auburn Ave.

Crossroads will open two shows on April 5 — “In Praise of Color” By Brian Purnell and “Hells Canyon and the Wallowas” by Edward J. Pabor.

A duet of photographers, Purnell and Pabor have unique perspectives and complement each other in this show celebrating Eastern Oregon Landscapes and the indigenous people of the land.

The First Friday reception starts at 5 p.m., followed by an artist talk at 5:30 p.m. This exhibit is on display until April 27.

Purnell, of Pendleton, is a potter and photographer who brings a show of composite photography as well as rustic pottery to Crossroads.

“Restless to make new images, I hit upon the idea of making composite photos,” he said. “The ones on exhibit represent a foray into combining pow wow related images with layers of brilliant, saturated color.”

Pabor is an artist from the Eugene area. His images display breathtaking views of Oregon.

“For the last 50 years I have been toting photography gear with me as I have been adventuring, hiking, climbing, and exploring since I was very young,” he said.

Royal Artisan

Royal Artisan will feature the work of Anne Eriksmoen, and live music by D’Club L’Eveque, starting at 5:30 p.m.
