Steven Adler of Guns N’ Roses fame is the headliner for Umatilla Landing Days on June 22, 2024. Hosted by the city of Umatilla, the free two-day festival kicks off June 21, 2024, at the Umatilla Marina & RV Park.

UMATILLA — The City of Umatilla has come a long way since its founding in 1864, and everyone is invited to celebrate that history this weekend at Umatilla Landing Days.

Umatilla Landing Days is Umatilla’s biggest festival of the year, and admission is free.

The 2024 event begins at 5 p.m. Friday, June 21, with vendors and activities at Umatilla Marina Park. Landing Days park activities will feature a variety of food vendors, craft and novelty vendors and kids activities, including face painting and bounce houses. The gates at Marina Park will be open from 5-11 p.m. on Friday.

Friday evening will also include a bull riding contest and two live music performances:

• 7-8 p.m.: Estilo Diferente
• 9-10:30 p.m.: Milonga

Saturday’s activities kick off with the parade through downtown Umatilla at 10 a.m. Dozens of entries will travel down Sixth Street before the gates at Umatilla Marina Park open at 11 a.m.

In addition to the vendors and kids activities, Saturday will feature a number of special activities, including the Marina Motors Car Show and PNW Jeep Girl Tribe.

Keeping with Umatilla’s history as a ferry landing, Saturday’s activities will also include boat rides and tours on the Columbia River. Visitors can sign up for the boat rides at a special information tent.

The afternoon will be filled with live music. Saturday’s live music lineup includes:

• 4-5:30 p.m.: Blue Tattoo
• 6-7:30 p.m.: NOT.GREENDAY
• 8:30-10 p.m. Steven Adler of Guns N’ Roses

The entire event culminates with a professional fireworks show over the Columbia River, visible from Marina Park and other sites in and around Umatilla.
