July 3: Music Medicine
Guitarist Scotty Wilson launched his latest musical project in March 2023 at the Helix Heart of the Country Rodeo. The Pendleton-based group performs roots-rock with Jim White (drums), Josh Smith (lead guitar) and Brian Baird (bass guitar).
July 10: Night Heron
Former Radiation City frontman Cameron Spies enlisted some of his favorite musicians to form this neo-soul group from Portland. Listeners say the slow guitar jams bring out the funk with retro-style synth-pop sounds that provide a dream-like aura.
July 17: Sean Hatton
The Boise singer-songwriter has performed alongside such acts as Trace Adkins, Chris Isaak, Maroon 5, Leon Russell and more. The Idaho Mountain Press said Hatton’s sound is “unabashedly Americana at its best.”
July 24: Casey Neill & The Norway Rats
A power-pop group from Portland, the performance includes special guests Kathryn Claire and Margot Merah. Neill said his musical influences include “folk, punk, art-rock, atmospheric soundscapes, guitar freak-outs and string arrangements.”
July 31: The Get Ahead
Brought together through a shared love of folk, gospel and old-school rhythm and blues, the Portland-based band offers a gritty soulful sound. Their compelling lyrics are highlighted through dynamic vocal harmonies.
Aug. 7: Ian Moore
With roots in the Texas music scene, the blues guitarist launched his solo career after playing with the Joe Ely Band. He is said to perform shows “like they are the last thing he will ever do.”
Aug. 14: Stephanie Schneiderman
The Portland singer-songwriter blends folk, indie pop, Americana and electronic music. Her solo career began in 1999, performing on the Village Stage as part of Lilith Fair, a concert festival co-founded by Sarah McLachlan.
Aug. 21: Brass Fire Band
A sizzling group featuring performers from across Eastern Oregon, the band plays jazz, funk, blues, rock and swing music. Prepare for horn-fueled covers from the Big Band era and rock from the 1970s and ‘80s.
