ENTERPRISE — Building on the company slogan of “Middle of nowhere, center of the universe,” Terminal Gravity’s Middle of Nowhere Brewfest is happening Saturday, Sept. 14, 2-10 p.m. at the pub, 813 SE School St.

“Our third annual brewfest is about more than just beer — it’s a celebration of community, music, art, and craft, all with the stunning backdrop of the Wallowa Mountains,” said Grady Nelson, TG’s marketing manager. “Whether you’re here for the beer, the music, or the mountain views, you’ll find a little bit of magic in every pint.”

Tickets are $29 in advance through Sept. 13, or $35 at the gate. Tickets are $10 for ages 13-20, and free for those 12 and younger. Purchase tickets online at terminalgravitybrewing.com/brewfest.

Tickets include a commemorative tasting glass, four drink tokens and access to brewfest activities. One token is good for a 7-ounce pour, and two drink tokens are for a 14-ounce drink. Tokens can be used for beer or the housemade non-alcoholic kombucha.

The music

The day’s live music will be a mix of bands from near and far.

Glitterfox, a four-piece band from Portland, brings influences of Americana, grunge and dance music, Nelson said.

Also playing will be Napster Disaster, a Wallowa County alt-rock cover band that plays hits from the 1980s, ‘90s and 2000s.

Bart Budwig, another local favorite, will play with his full band, and Desperate Electric and Claire Webb will round out the musical lineup.

The brews

The fest will feature TG beers, of course, along with visiting Pacific Northwest breweries and cideries: Coldfire Brewing (Eugene), Fort George Brewery (Astoria), Breakside Brewery (Portland), Quirk Brewery (Walla Walla), Side A Brewing (La Grande), M. Crow Beer (Lostine) and Blue Mountain Cider (Milton-Freewater).

Nelson said more participating breweries may be announced in the coming weeks.

The food

Several vendors will be on-site to offer food, including Dining Car Sushi, Fire and Ice Pizza and JD Barbecue. Also, the pub will have a limited menu.

Activities

Nelson said the brewfest will again feature a stein-holding competition, which requires competitors to hold a beer stein straight out for as long as possible. The winner receives a $50 gift card to the pub.

The record is four minutes, 21 seconds.

Also returning is the free photobus with costumes (take four photos and get a photo strip).

Attendees will also have the chance to tour the brewery, learn about the brewing process and learn about the ingredients of TG beer.

Parking

The regular brewpub parking lot will be closed for the event, however, Terminal Gravity will have free parking available in the back lot behind the pub. From the Wallowa Lake Highway, turn onto South Florence Avenue, and follow signs to the parking area.

Loveland Safe Ride will be offering rides at the end of the night.
