Fall music series coming to Joseph

JOSEPH — The Josephy Center for Arts and Culture has launched a fall music series with eclectic concerts by highly accomplished musicians from the Pacific Northwest.
In keeping with their desire to bring diverse musical talent and genres to the Wallow Valley, the center has scheduled three concerts this fall.
Fun and funky dance band
Sweet N’ Juicy brings their funky rhythms and soulful melodies to the Josephy stage on Friday, Sept. 27, 7-9 p.m. This high-energy dance band is performing as a fundraiser for the Josephy Center’s Building Expansion Project. (To learn more about that, visit josephy.org/capital-campaign.)
Dance the night away and help the center reach its fundraising goal. Tickets are $15 early bird or $20 at the door.
Jazz at Josephy
On Saturday, Oct. 5, Grammy-nominated saxophonist Dan Schauffler will perform an evening of jazz with a collection of some of the Northwest’s most accomplished and exciting jazz musicians: guitarist Chuck Everett, bassist Pete Lampfe and percussionist Carl Smith.
The music runs from 7-9 p.m.
The Dan Schauffler Quartet will bring a great evening featuring special arrangements and original compositions. Tickets are $15 early bird or $20 at the door.
Saxophone and piano duo
Accomplished jazz performer, composer and educator Rob Scheps joins forces with one of the “busiest and most versatile keyboardists in the Inland Northwest,” performer, author, educator and clinician Matt Cooper on Friday, Oct. 18, 7-9 p.m.
Their catalog of songs ranges from jazz to funk, blues to chamber music. Tickets are $15 early bird or $20 at the door.
