Amy Fairchild has released a new Christmas album.

ENTERPRISE — Amy Fairchild, composer/pianist/educator, continues to entertain and delight Wallowa County and the world with a new Christmas album released just in time for the holidays.

The album, sure to become a family favorite, contains Fairchild’s skillfully arranged mash-up compositions of traditional holiday favorites and delightful original tunes wonderfully performed by the Fairchild family.

‘What Christmas Means’

“What Christmas Means” cleverly captures the various meanings of the holiday with her original compositions and songs. An accomplished recording artist and composer, Fairchild opens the album with six instrumental piano compositions, each — as their titles imply — medleys of traditional songs: “Angels,” “Emmanuel Bell Carol,” “O Come All Ye To Joy,” “Ships” and “God Rest Ye Three Kings.”

The following five songs are original holiday tunes that include some from her recent children’s musicals: “Elves on Strike” and “Elves on Strike: The Sequel.” Wonderfully performed by the talented Fairchild family — Amy, Desmond, Rowan and Ned — the album creatively mixes the “new” with songs such as “Lazy Santa,” “What Christmas Means” and a brand-new song that explores the many creative ways we celebrate the holidays that may not be so traditional, “Polar Bear Plunge.”

The holiday celebration continues

Amy Fairchild, a brilliant musical creator and talented performer, continues to provide musical education and opportunities for Wallow County youth and enjoyment for all.

This album, her latest, is being released concurrently with her production of the new children’s musical, “Elves on Strike: The Sequel.” The show is in rehearsal and will debut at the historic OK Theater on Friday, Dec. 13, with a Saturday matinee the following day.
