BAKER CITY — Applications are now open for cultural grants in Baker County.
The Baker County Cultural Coalition, which is part of the Oregon Cultural Trust, receives funding each year to provide small grants to arts, culture, heritage and humanities organizations in Baker County.
There are two grant deadlines each year: May 15 and Oct. 15.
The coalition members are appointed by the Baker County commissioners and oversee the program.
Individual artists, organizations, businesses and nonprofits can apply for grants to help fund projects that meet the Baker County Cultural Plan at https://tinyurl.com/wras9mrd.
Recent grants funded new doors for the Eastern Oregon Museum in Haines, a radio class for KBZR, a website for We Like ‘Em Short film festival and productions for Eastern Oregon Regional Theatre.
