MILTON-FREEWATER — There are only four drive-in movie theaters left in Oregon and the Milton-Freewater outdoor big screen opened for the season on Friday, April 4 — starting their 64th year!

Located on the outskirts of town at 84322 Highway 11, the theater is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 p.m. to midnight. Show time is at dusk, approximately 7:30 p.m.

General admission is $9 or $3 for children ages 11 and younger. Admission prices and snacks are cash only and they offer an ATM inside the snack bar.

The full snack bar is very popular with homemade pizzas, theater popcorn, candy, hot dogs, pretzels, nachos, soda, chili and sausage dogs.

Customers continually rave about their homemade pizzas. On their Facebook page, when a local resident noted he just wanted to buy a pizza, the owners said he could just let the people at the gate know he was picking up a pizza, and didn’t have to pay the admission fee.

The Spiess family has owned the M-F Drive-In since 1961 and they encourage everyone to bring their family and come out and enjoy a show.  Their goal is still to “provide affordable entertainment for the people in the valley.”
