JOSEPH — The Josephy Center for Arts and Culture opens its winter fundraiser, the “Little Works” exhibition, on Friday, Nov. 29, at the center, 403 N. Main St.
This annual exhibit provides a way to contribute to the youth arts programming at the center. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support various vital youth programs including scholarships for young artists, the Youth Art Festival, internships and alternative education art classes.
The Little Works Exhibition features small-scale art pieces (all under 10 inches square) each priced under $200. These small treasures are perfect one-of-a-kind holiday gifts. Unlike traditional exhibits, all Little Works art can be taken at the time of purchase.
Opening Reception
The Little Works opening reception is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 29, from noon to 4 p.m. The public is invited to attend the opening festivities and enjoy all of the works by various artists throughout the area. Families are encouraged to attend and enjoy refreshments, music, storytelling and poetry.
A free children’s make-and-take tree ornament workshop will take place 1–3 p.m.
The opening reception coincides with the center’s Black Friday Art Supply Sale. Just in time for the holidays, the Josephy Center offers books, stocking stuffers and pieces by local artists for purchase in the gift shop.
“Little Works” officially begins Tuesday, Nov. 26 and continues through Dec. 19.
