The Urban Fall Fest is happening at Urban Vine, adjacent to Island City Market and Deli, on Saturday, Oct. 7.

ISLAND CITY — The Island City Market’s Urban Vine, 10107 W. First St., will open its Barrel and Vineyard rooms to host the second-annual Urban Fall Fest on Saturday, Oct. 7, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This is an extravaganza for gift shoppers, and everyone is invited to stop in and shop.

Owners Keith and Kathleen Williams started the Urban Fall Fest last year, and it was so well attended that they are going to continue the tradition.

“It’s a place for the vendors to come together and sell their products and crafts,” Kathleen Williams said. “It’s also an event that people can attend in the fall and maybe do some gift shopping.”

Vendors will be set up in booths, selling gift products from Sensi and Pampered Chef, but also handmade jewelry, local history books, home décor, accessories, and all types of hand-crafted items. Some vendors sell home furnishings like antiques and fun repurposed items. Others sell handmade candles or canned jams, jellies and sauces.

“Between the two rooms, we’ll have about 26 vendors and some outdoors too,” she said. “I have quite a few signed up already. After the first event last year, the vendors all wanted to do it again.”

Vendor booth space costs between $30 and $40 depending on the floor space the vendor wants. Pre-registration is required by calling Kathleen Williams at 541-910-5591.

People usually bring their own tables, but they can be supplied upon request. There is sufficient parking around the building, and there are two entries where vendors and shoppers can enter the building. There is no admission fee.

“Last year everybody had a great time, and shoppers were excited to see the new rooms,” Williams said. “All the vendors thought they did really well with their sales.”

Williams said it was nice last year to see so many people come out on a nice, crisp fall weekend, reuniting, and enjoying friendly conversations. She said that there were about 200 people who attended last year, and she looks forward to an equally great turnout on Oct. 7.

To date, Williams has hosted a 2022 fall fest and a spring fest 2023. People were eager for more, she said. As long as there is interest, she said she will continue to host the bazaars each spring and fall.

“We want to invite everyone to come out Saturday, Oct. 7, to the Urban Fall Fest,” she said. “Enjoy yourself, meet up with friends and have fun shopping locally for those special gifts for your loved ones.”
