The learning area at Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort is now called Alice’s Wonderland, and continues the theme with the Rabbit Hole Terrain Park, Caterpillar Conveyor and Mad Hatter Handle Tow.

NORTH POWDER — Visitors to Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort are finding plentiful snow this winter.

“It’s amazing. It’s the best coverage we’ve had in a long time,” said Chelsea Judy, marketing director for Anthony Lakes.

The most current weather and snow conditions can be found at www.anthonylakes.com.

Judy said the all runs on the mountain are open, and the trails for Nordic skiing are groomed. She said cross-country skiing has been popular this year.

“It’s a good family get-outside activity,” she said.

The ski resort is open Thursday-Sunday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

5th and 6th grade Sundays

Anthony Lakes is again offering a special free program for youth in fifth and sixth grades. The program runs on Sundays and includes a free lift ticket, rental and mandatory lesson.

Youth register from 8:30-9:45 a.m. in the lower level of the main lodge. Bring a school ID or current report card.

An accompanying adult receives a $25 lift ticket if they want to ski. There is no need to pre-purchase or pre-register. The discount is received at registration.

This winter’s program started Jan. 9 and runs through February. Youth who attend seven of the eight Sundays may then purchase a season pass for the remaining season and following winter for $150.

Alice’s WonderlandAlice’s Wonderland, the newly named learning area, is now home to the Caterpillar Conveyor, Mad Hatter Handle Tow and Rabbit Hole Terrain Park, which has beginner features such as a ride-on box and small jumps. A dedication of these new features is planned for later this season.
